I need to adjust the right outside rearview mirror on my 2007 Seneca. The mirror barely "peeks" around the side of the coach, offering a very limited view. I have used the electric adjustment, but I still don't have a good view because the mirror head is simply not far enough to the outside of the coach.
I notice there are some detents which allow the mirror arm to be repositioned. However, the detent either locks the arm too far forward or too far to the rear. Is there a way to readjust the mirror arm detent? Also, I was wondering about readjusting the entire mirror head assembly that attaches to the arm (trying to swivel it outward). Has anyone done this?

I just push mine a little past the detent and it stays there. There is enough resistance to hold it between the detents.

I have the same issue. The arms for the awning block about half of the visibility in the mirror. My only solution is to make sure that mirror is really clean along with the passenger window. I have the little mirror adjusted so I can see the blind spot (more or less) and otherwise have become used to the amount of visibility.

We had that same problem. My DH complained so he fabricated a new part to extend the mirror out from the body and now it is 100% better. You can actually see all along the side of the rig and the road behind, exactly like the left mirror.

As AZ99 states, just move the entire assembly out just a little and it will stay there. The mirror assembly which attaches to the arm is fixed, it is not adjustable. Only the arm where it attaches to the vehicle can be moved. I went just a bit further and bought a 4" adjustable fisheye mirror which I attached to the upper right corner of the flat mirror. Makes a tremendous improvement in visibility.

Getting a good view down right side of a MH is a common complaint. I added a Tow-N-See Mirror convex model to our Kodiak chassis. Put it in upper right corner.

Can you provide any more information, perhaps a photo too?
Thanks,

I have a Gulf Stream Conquest Super C on the Chevy/Kodiak chassis and have great mirrors much bigger than the Seneca 36MS that I have been looking at. Not sure why the mirrors are different on the same chasis. I was thinking that if I purchased the Seneca I would put on the same type mirrors that I presently have.

Are you sure they are different? Your comment that they are surprised me given they both buy the same product from GM. When I look at photos of your unit and the Jayco, the mirrors look identical.

Ron, I'd be concerned about the possibility of having to buy a new mirror every few days after it fell off. I assume you have found it sticks on tightly with little risk of losing it?
