Is it OK to use Murphy Oil Soap to scrub the rubber roof on my "C"?. I don't see anything on the label that indicates it has any petroleum ingredients.

Murphys is a vegetable oil based soap and has no petrolium distillates. I use it all the time. I believe the TPO product recommends Murphy's but not the EPDM makers. They prefer something like Dawn dish soap. That being said, I use a 50/50 mix of Spic n Span and Murphys on my EPDM roof!

I just use dish soap and water. Works fine for me.

I just used Murpheys/Spic N Span for the first time last week and my black roof now looks like new. White, once again.

My instructions say to use Murphy's, but I have Brite Tek, which is a TPO material. And, no, Murphy's has no petroleum in it so it should be safe for any roof.
