Our life is a trip, except during the winter months when we stop and work. We'll just work a little harder to hit the road for the rest of the year. I would be bored to death to sit around the mh, with it not moving down the road.

Heck, The Gator Nationals were almost a month ago and fuel was 30 or 40 cents cheaper then.
If your Genny uses a tank of fuel in 4 days something is wrong with it.
When I attend these events I run my Genny for 4 to 6 days and doesn't even use a 1/4 of a tank and I run mine non stop.
On the other hand cost to run these things are up. Am I staying home? No

Made a 2 night stay recently, traveling 400 miles round trip. Cost us for the fuel and $20/ night hookup. We ate all our meals in the trailer except our Saturday night dinner out. When talking to another couple who drove up and stayed in a hotel and purchased all meals out - we still came out cheaper plus we met a neat couple in the MH next to us and we stayed up playing cards till midnight one night - Hotels don't have that!

Don't really care if the OP sees this response but I have to ask; wWas any one buying diesel for a dollar a gallon four years ago? (" Up 430 % in last four years" ) I look real hard at all of my fuel costs now but still can make everything pencil out if you figure cookin' your own food and 20.00 bucks per nite for a space PLUS add in a campfire and a chance to spend some real quality time with the family against 125.00 bucks a nite (min.) for a hotel, food, dragging suitcases around, and your room window facing I-5. The difference in fuel costs today as opposed to last year is more readily faced by those for which owning an RV is a lifestyle choice as opposed to those that have to have the most toys.

Now DIRECTLY on-topic .....
I myself ....am only going to have ONE long RV trip this year. 7k miles or so. The rest are going to be shorties.
I have a Bud trying to sell his 36 foot gasser. And he has it priced dirt-cheap. But when the topic of MPG comes up ..... the potential buyer almost faints.
The future if RVing is not positive ... for attracting the newbie.
