Don't you just love this site. What ever you ask, you get wonderful, imaginative responses. I vote for the DP also!

I'm with the little chair folks. They make funny ones too. My little one had a caterpiller chair complete with a sun umbrella and she thought it was the coolest thing.
She also really enjoyed a bug catching kit. Flashlights are always the coolest.

Last year at Easter, we went to Dollar General and stocked up on "camping toys" for our grand kids.
We bought 4 of everything mostly. 4 kites, 4 sand pails with shovel etc. A package of splash balls(they love sticking these in the ice chest and then hitting some one with it. You know you have been hit!!! Some plastic bats and balls, A huge foam Frisbee. We keep it all in the 5th wheel.
We also have a baby doll, stroller and a few girly things for our one grand daughter.
We have one closet that is for their toys. Then we add something new every once in a while. Keeps them all happy.

How about her own air mattress and a battery-operated lantern? When our dd was 7 she got a nice sleeping bag. At 10 she got her own tent. For her 24th birthday I bought her a pink grill and a large pink Rubbermaid tub for hauling her stuff. Her 25th birthday is Monday and I have some pink dishes, a pink extension cord, and a pink skillet. We both love pink. She mostly camps with her friends now so she needs more of her own stuff.
What kind of dolls does she like? Can you get some camping gear for her dolls? What about one of those mesh bug catching boxes?

My DD was three, and my DS five when we started RVing in 2004. They liked receiving their own kids-sized camping chair, along with other little Coleman for Kids stuff.
They also have age-appropriate puzzles and games that are kept in the RV and are only used when camping. A deck of GoFish cards and a set of color dominoes were my DDs first camping games that she picked out and purchased for camping with some of her own birthday-gift money.

I just went to Toys R Us and bought the pink camping set (Little People). I like it even better in person! Very cute! I am still trying to find the flashlight that you can crank. Any ideas where to get one?

I was thinking sleeping bag, flashlight, or camp chair, but I like the DP idea.
