Don't count on it. As of the 1st of April, all burn permits have been suspended in Tuolumne County. This is the earliest fire season in many years.

Not a burn, no coals.
It would be stupid to have a wood fire in summer, but I stopped by CalFire, those covered fireplaces are not considered as open burns. Burning in a barrel is.
No way am I lighting up a wood fire in the middle of summer

Propane fires are OK, but this is subject to the Indian fire services judgment.

We get to Jackson Rancheria on Thursday. We'll check on the Dog Run.

BTW, burn barrels are now "illegal" in Amador County. You can't use them even with a permit.

Have fun!

We're off to Cisco Grove with the quads. Might be a problem riding as the snow is still everywhere or so we're told...
But there will be a big group so should be fun no matter what...

On a sad note, my daughter's guinea pig died while she was at work. We're not sure why, but I suspect it was heat stroke because her room got too warm or she might have eaten something bad while roaming the back yard. She was only about 7 months old.
Told DD she needs to read the book before she gets another one so we don't mess up.. It was a very cute guinea pig..

Have fun Kris & Steve. With the temps going up that snow shouldn't last long!

East shore freeway 72
Crossed the San Rafael bridge, San Quentin, 80
Then it went up 1 degree every few hundred yards 81,82,83,84,85,86,87,88,89,90 two miles later at 101/580 in San Rafael.
Then over the hill to Terra Linda, 100.

Thanks. We did have a good (but warm) weekend. We'll be here until Thursday and then get home just in time to miss all the Memorial Day traffic!
