We DO have a TV, two of them as a matter of fact. I like TV. My wife likes TV. RVing is 'vacationing' to us, not 'roughing' it. We eat many meals in restaurants, and enjoy our TV whenever we want. No, we're not 'back to nature' folks that enjoy doing without the niceties, but I'm sure we're not the only ones. That's the way WE choose to travel, and we enjoy every minute of it. (Now, if we could only have somebody come in and make our bed every morning we'd have it made!!!!!......... )

No TV - although my laptop can act as one - I tried it once 2 years ago - the laptop also does streaming audio so I can listen to certain college games & weird radio. The laptop also very rarely plays DVDs & VHS.
But I am a news junkie my the satellite radio is on BBC/CSPN/NPR full time.

Good for you! Most people are addicted to TV.
Not me. I can get news from radio and the internet (LOTS of different sources that can be checked quickly!).
I don't want a TV in my rig, I do have a laptop for DVDs.
DW would love a TV, but does well reading and being forced to deal with me (LOL!). It's good for the kids to not escape into videoland.

We're in the "no TV, we're here to camp" crowd.
We do have a portable radio --- that's it. We're usually able to pick up a local NPR station and possibly some local stations (we camp in natl parks in mountains a lot so often have very limited reception).
For entertainment, we have a plastic bin of games --- board games, decks of cards, etc. We also bring several books on a trip.
We do like our TV at home --- but not camping......

Similar case here. We carried our TV all last summer and only used it to watch one game in the fall.
That and we sometimes hooked up the digital camera to show family pictures we had taken to the family.

We never had one until we got the new TT last week and it came with one. My SIL and BIL who we most often travel with do not have one either. I don't see us using it much. We won't be paying extra to get cable or sat. while we are camping. At the most, we might carry a few dvd movies for a rainy day.

We don't have one either. we spent 6 consecutive weeks on the road as well as the normal weekend trips. we listen to the radio or CDs, get the weather from the weather band radio. And TALK something that to many married couples don't do enough of.
then again I can count on one hand how many hours of TV i watch during a normal week in my S&B house.
To each his own. if someone enjoys TV then by all means get one for the RV. after all the RV is a vacation, not jail, do what you like during your vacation.
What does bug me is when people have a TV OUTSIDE and sit outside watching Jerry Springer with the volume cranked so loud that it sounds like i am in the studio audience.

That's my system, too. For the my modest TV and DVD needs, I'm not going to lug around a regular TV.
I got this gadget, which can use either a cable connection or its own little antenna; it's good enough for my needs. We even used it in the stick house once, when the electricity went out during a favorite TV program.

We're just starting out on a year's full time. We don't have a TV in the RV, actually don't have one at home. However, we have 2 new laptops and a server, which could act like a TV. Anything that we want, we get over the internet, which is usually faster than the TV was and we can select when to watch. The broadband Sprint service runs through a cellular router so all the computers can access it.
Even with all this equipment, during the day, we can usually be found out hiking or biking or cooking on our campfire.
