As a mom, I totally agree with your no TV decision. If I had 6 kids, I wouldn't have a TV either. Our 3 drove me nuts fighting over programs when they were at home. When they were camping, no regular TV but we watched an occasional movie before bedtime. Now that we camp with adults, we all have TV's and Movie afternoon is a part of our routine. About 3:00 we make some appetizers, load into the host's Rv and watch a new release DVD. After it's over, dinner prep starts and we move back outside. I honestly don't think the DH would have much interest in camping without his TV. He doesn't watch much at home. Camping, it's equal parts TV, reading and napping with some hiking and fishing thrown in.

We do not watch TV when camping in the forest.

The only time I watch TV is when I have insomnia. I use it to bore myself to sleep.

DW and I do watch Jeopardy most evenings. It is the only program on TV that we both find tolerable. I hate the rest of the programs that she watches. Laugh tracks are insulting. It is real hard to find any program that does not have a laugh track.

When I full-timed for 9 years in my fiver I had 2 TVs, though I don't believe I much ever watched them and never did hook up to a cable in a park. Now that I only "camp" in my truck and camper I don't have one and don't want one. I don't even watch the one I have at home, though I do have a dish "just in case" :-) As noted elsewhere in this thread, my laptop (which is large) can play DVDs, but I have yet to do that either.. To each his own!

When we go on our week long camping, at the coast with a great park with lots of activities; beach, bikes, lake, game, friends, then we do not bring a TV or anything else "electronic". It is family and nature time. But if it is a shorter trip, in the spring or fall, at a park with not quite so much to do, and it is guaranteed to rain, then it is fun to bring the TV and maybe a DVD player to watch a movie at night with some popcorn.

We do not have a television or a computer in our RV. Might consider a computer someday, but a TV is unlikely.

Because we fulltime we have a TV. When we were vacationing or weekending we didn't have a TV. I want a TV to watch the news. I happen to be a news junkie and I like to be informed and know what's going on in the world other than my own little space but then that's just me. Just call it natural curiousity about my world. I don't have a TV in my MH. These days you can get about any program (news/sitcoms/etc) on the internet, so I just use my laptop. Plus it plays movies on DVD's. What more do I need??

Do not have one. Do not want one. When we are camping we like the peace and quiet. We do listen to music and read a lot when camping in the evening.
