Just curious. My sister-in-law came by to see our(new to us) TT and commented that we didn't have a t.v. And what kind we were going to put in it. We just told her we didn't plan on putting one in and she couldn't believe it.
I realize different people want different things during their time out, and that's great. We just don't feel that we need to drag our kids (6 of them) out somehere just to have them watch t.v. Don't get me wrong, we have all that at home, and lot's of it. Just like to give the kids, and ourselves a break from the fast pace.
Again, just curious, not wanting to start anything here. Ask me again in 10-15 yrs. Might be a whole different story.

I don't.
If I wanted to watch TV, I'd stay at home.
But I am about to put my TV/VCR combo in there.
Kinda handy for newscasts.

If we didn't already have two, I would at least put in a small DC 9" set just to catch the news in an emergency.

DW and I do not have one. We came back from one trip to find out that Elian (?) had been sent back to Cuba. We hardly watch TV at home so we do not watch it while away camping.

We do not have a TV, but our unit did come with a satellite dish, and we've been talking about buying a TV. We have brought along our DVD player for a movie or two, but I also kind of like the idea of getting away from the TV for a weekend. We go to camp and enjoy the outdoors, not watch TV. DH wants to get a TV, but I'm still undecided.

We have a TV in the travel trailer but not in our home. Never did watch it much so discontinued cable $ervice about 10 years ago. More likely to crank up the antenna and watch the news or an occasional ball game when we're on the road. At home, on very rare occasions, I'll go out into the TT to watch something.

We just got back from four months down in Florida.
The Tv was pulled out once and then when we saw the normal******that was on, it went back under the bed in storage and stayed there.
I got my weather report whenever I wanted it from my VHF radio.
I am not sure if you are old enough to remember when they first came out with cable TV. All the ads were for the fact that this would eliminate the commercials.
Turn the TV on now and you are paying to watch a half hour of comercials for every three minutes of programming.
The news is no longer news, but it is some ones opinion of the news and mpost of the time they throw all the sleaze that they can find at us.

We have 2 LCDs. Half the time we pull the 23" out of the living room area and put it outside. We love to sit under the awning and watch sports with a beer in one hand and the salsa bowl in the other. We do not sit in front of the tv all weekend, but it is nice to watch the news at night, and now, saturday morning cartoons!!!

We have three televisions in the RV.
We bought the RV to have fun. None of us would enjoy it fully if we couldn't "check in with the real world" occasionally. I like to keep up with the news/weather, the boys and DH like to watch sports. The TVs very rarely get turned on in the middle of the day, but we sure like having them early in the a.m. and a little while before bed.
I don't think there's one "right" answer to this. Do whatever works for your family, it's nobody else's business.
