New to Forum and Class A.
My wife and I will begin "full time" RVing in December. Planning on purchasing a 2008 Winnebago Tour, WD or equivalent Itasca. Have been reading these forums and find them very interesting. Have been using a pop-up for last 10 years; love camping.

Where do I find list of abbreviations used in forum? wife, etc?
Like to get in contact with other Winnebago Tour owners about their experience with their RV. What is the best way to do that?

This is a great forum to post issues and general questions. If you want specific questions answered regarding Winnie's, go to irv2.com and you will find a forum specific for Winnie owners as well as other manufactures and general info.

M1jsb00,
I own an 07 Winnebago Vectra and will also be retiring this fall. I write monthly articles related to RVing and would happy to help you. As mentioned your best source is located at: http://irv2.infopop.cc/groupee/forums/a/frm/f/2486094452
This is a free forum and they have a Chat Room every Tuesday evening. It is all free and great information. Also, they have a section related to your chassis which I believe will be a Freightlinger at:
http://irv2.infopop.cc/eve/forums/a/frm/f/7841040402

So when do you receive your Tour? We almost purchased the Tour but went for the new TD model which, at the time, only came with the Vectra. The Tour is a great coach.
Let me know any questions you may have or if I should send you some prior articles. Oh, by the way, we will be moving to Crossville, TN this fall as our "home base."

My wife and I purchased a 08 tour WD at Pomona. We had intended to purchase a more "high end" coach.
The deciding factor? We are talking ourselves into a recession whether we intend to or not.
Winnebago has been through bad times before (70's), etc., and would probably be one of the few left standing.
Plus, the Tour WD has a wonderful floor plan & basement air.

We have had a new 40TD for about 2 months and are fulltiming in it. So far, this is a great coach and we really like it. I have been very happy with the quality of the coach and the systems. I am also surprised (happily!) about the mileage with the Cummins 400 -- we are getting about 10 mpg towing our car at about 57 mph.

Feel free to send a PM if you want further details.
