I'm looking to camp next Weekend (April 26/27) near Alliston Ontario
Is it to early to dewinterize the trailer.
I'm totally new at this so any help would be great.
Thanks

That would depend on the temperature going below freezing and for how long it will do so. If you have any concerns you could put a small portable electric heater inside on the remaining cold nights. Remember to leave the lower cabinet door open to allow the warmth to circulate around the pluming.

Ice boom is still in Lake Erie and there is still ice in the lake, so I am waiting until Friday morning to de-winterize for our first trip but I have a few camping colleagues who already dewinterized and have a trip(s) under their belt with no issues.

Good question. We just brought home our Safari today and started outfitting it for this season. No thought of dewinterizing just yet, but considering the fabulous weather we're experiencing it might be that the risk of a hard freeze is low. We NEVER plant annuals in our garden before the May 2-4 weekend, but it takes a lot more than a little ground frost to damage an RV's water system. But so far the warmer-than-usual spring looks like it's going to hold, and the longer it does the risk of a hard freeze in Southern Ontario is somewhat remote THIS YEAR. That being said, I don't plan on dewinterizing until early May.

Yes you should be ok. The weather has been quite warm and will be 21C on Thursday and warmer next week. We are in Milton and no problems as we are full timing.

We dewinterized here in Michigan for a 18 day vacation and than winterized again when we got back. We can have snow and freezing for a while yet and did not want to take any chances.

Instead of dewinterizing ... you could always "flush" the toilet, "wash" the dishes, and "wash" your face, etc with a couple of jugs of water .... that way your fresh water tank, water lines, water pump etc. would still be protected from a late spring freeze ... yet, you'd be out camping.
Only things are risk would be your gray and black water tanks ... and maybe your dump valves. But usually there is room to expand before any damage is done ... and the spring sun warms stuff up quickly.
