Any one have anything to say, good or bad, about Cooper tires? Custom Trailer Plus, ST225/75R/15 D rating. Due to their higher pricing I thought they were made in USA but my tire dealer says ALL ST tires are made in China now including Coopers. i'm surprised but neglected to ask why Coopers were so expensive then, $140 per with mounting. If they're great tires I dont mind the price. But this whole tire issue is becoming a cr*p shoot. Thanks

Cooper Discoverer ST tiresappear to be quite different from what we have came to know about ST tires. As you see on the website, they actually have speed ratings over 65 MPH! Hopefully increased quality are reliability accompany the speed ratings.

Do a search for Denman tires. Made in Mexico. I am very happy with my radials I put on my TT. they get good reviews, and mine were cheaper than Marathons too.

Oh, I have had about 6 sets of Cooper on my last trucks and really like them.

I'm surprised that Cooper still has some ST series tires left. Two years ago when I was shopping, they told me via email that they discontinued making ST tires and once stocks deplete that was it.

Please correct me if I misunderstand this but...I don't think the Cooper Discoverer S/T (On-Off Road) is what we generally think of as a "Special Trailer ST tire.

Cooper on their own website classes this tire as an LT/SUV tire if that makes a difference.

Happy Camping!

SH, I think you're right. Discoverer S/T is not the same as the ST catagory given to tires made for exclusive trailer use.

I have not seen or used them on my 5vr but have used them on a Toyota Celica and they were great for that application....

Have 3 year old Coopers on my TT and I love them. They are USA made ST's, but as I said, they are 3 years old.

Whoever claims all ST tires are now made in China has new information, as I saw several non-Chinese ST tires quite recently. Ask idiot where Maxxis are made. There are others also I'll bet.

Reooper tires- A friend has a class C with all 6 cooper tires. They are/were 4 years old and 3 tires "peeled" in a 65 mile period.A 4th tire was splitting so he replaced all 6 that day. Fortunately,no tire 'blew' and only suffered minimal damage to unit.
