Comming from the north? You could stop at Raccoone Holler in Glendale Springs. It is on the PW. Closer to Boone. There is a KOA. Maybe 10 miles out of town.

Past Boone on 105 I think. There is Flintlock, and Grandfather Mountain CGs. Both a good ways off the PW.

Farther south on the Parkway. Past the NP CGs of Julian Price Park, and Linville Falls. Niether of which have any hookups. At the Linville Exit. There is Linville Falls RV Resort. With full hookups.
Past Linville Falls on the Parkway. Between 226, and 221. Is Bear Den. Also a full hook up park.

The KOA worked well for us a few years ago. We had to go into town past the Tweetsie Railroad, through downtown, and then a couple of miles outside of town, if I remember correctly. We had a 38' DP at the time and had no problems getting in or out.

Howdy!

We stayed at Grandfather mountain RV park. Nice park and friendly folks run it.
