well we are here at ruby's inn campground today its pretty cold, i just noticed that my water hose is froze. any suggestions in the morning on getting water to flow. also looking foward to hitting some of the atv trails in the next couple of days. any suggested rides? we will be heading to Moab on Sunday to met up with friends to ride out there. then back home on the friday after. wind has been pretty strong the past 3-4 days.
Carefully coil up your hose and bring it inside to defrost, put it out in the morning. You may want to add some water to the tank after it defrosts so you have some for the toilet.
We liked the Badger Creek loop when we rode there last summer.
Have a great time!

The fastest way to thaw it out will be to put it in a tub of warm water. If you have water in the fresh tank, and can run enough water to fill a bucket and put the hose in it, then that will thaw it out in about 30 minutes.
Otherwise, put the hose into the shower, and it should thaw out overnight and drain down into the shower. If there are showers in the campground, and the hose has not thawed out overnight, then you could put it into the campground shower and run some water over it, until the water can start to flow.
I would not hook up the hose to the RV, but just fill the fresh water tank.
I guess you are lucky that the hose did not burst. This happened to about 20 RV's in this park a couple of months ago when it was down to 26F outside.
It is best to fill the fresh tank, then drain the hose and put it away on nights when it will be below 35F.
If the hose if frozen solid, I would not try to bend it, it might crack. Hopefully the campground store will have some in stock?
You should also shut the gray and black water tank valves and put the hose into a storage compartment that is warmer than the outside air. The hose can be damaged by water in it that can freeze and crack the hose.
Fred.
Money can't buy happiness but somehow it's more comfortable to cry in a Porsche or Country Coach!
The best ride(most scenic) in the area IMHO is Castro Canyon. Pine Lake up to Powell Point is nice and there are lots of trails around Tropic Reserviour. Good trout fishing at both Pine lake and Tropic. We did Moab, then Bryce w/ our atv's and tt a couple years ago and it was an awesome trip!
