Hi Everyone,
We have been looking at Teton's and Escalade's. I would like opinions as to the quality, etc. Thank you for your time.

I really like Teton however I am a bigger fan of:

New Horizons RV - 5 Star Rated 5'rs

Five stars by the RV Consumers Group:

5-star rating: To get this rating a brand needs to have an "excellent" record of performance in Value, Reliability, and Highway Control, indicated by ratings of 90 or higher. Performance includes the manufacturer's willingness to stand behind their product. Any serious problem recorded with us could drop a model or an entire brand from a 5-star rating. This rating has little bearing on price range or use designation. It is strictly based on performance. You will find very few 5-star models in this edition, but by studying the numbers of 3-star and 4-star models, you should be able to get an indication of which models and brands will be climbing the "starcase" toward the greatest award we can give an RV manufacturer. Scale: 90-100.

If you haven't seen these you might want to take a look.

Have fun!

If you are interested in the Escalade, also consider the Montego Bay by same company. Except for some extra R-factor in the walls, you can get a fully-optioned Montego Bay that is a great value. Never owned a Teton (pronounced "ten-ton" because you will need a MDT to tow one), but the Montego Bay weight ranges fit well within one-ton truck specs.

The company has been good to work with on the one issue we have had on our MB. I think KZ is one of the best companies in the business right now.

In my opinion The KZ Escalade is not even in the same league as Teton. I don't see how you can compare them. I am not saying that the KZ is not a nice trailer, they just are not comparable. MTCW

Agree with highgturn, they are not in the same league. Like comparing a Chevy with a high end Lexus or Audi.

Thanks for your opinions. We do have an F550 hauler, so the weight isn't the problem. Right now we have a Carriage that we tow. Just looking to trade up to the final one. Thanks again.

I have the Teton homes Experience and momma and I just love it. We plan on spending a lot of time in the coach and before we bought we approached our search with the idea "Would we want to live in this model as a home"
INMO this is the best way to approach your decision as to which is better. I'm not the smartest guy but we are happy with our decision.
Good luck

We have had our Teton for nearly 4 years. We love it, the factory service is wonderful and we won't change.

This is our third fiver, so we do have something to compare it to. Wish we would have gotten a Teton 11 years ago when we got our first fiver.

We are fulltimers and nothing about the fiver shows any wear at all, other than one decal is peeling a bit on the outside fridge access door. (It is plastic.)

Had an Escalade...no regrets whatsoever. None, period.

That being said, it ain't a Teton. If you've got the hauler and the $$$, a Teton is likely a better unit. That being said, you probably wouldn't go wrong with an Escalade.

I guess it really boils down to how you are going to use it and how you are going to tow the beast. If you can afford one you certainly can afford the other. So far as quality is concerned, the Escalade is a very nice unit and there is nothing wrong with the quality. It is a 4 season unit and structurally is well built. KZ is a good company and it stands behind it's product. We have owned one of their products in the past and are repeat buyers. This is our first Escalade. We do not full time in the unit but travel in it often and for extended periods. It is heavy once you get the bells and whistles, not to mention what you bring along. It tows well and is very comfortable. I can not comment on the Teton, but I do know that Capt Skup had one and he would be a good person to speak to regarding them.
