Matthew - Your boss must really be a math whiz. If he says that Mondays and Fridays amount to 40% of the absences. Then I wonder what percentages he thinks that Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays would total. That sure sounds like pretty good average of 20% per day to me. If you are working a 5 day a week work schedule then I would conclude that the absences on Fridays and Mondays were well within the typical usage range.
