Hello there, just thought I would introduce myself. My Husband and I have been pop-up owners for a few years and decided to upgrade. We pick up our new to us 30' 2003 Trail-Lite next Friday! It's going to be strange to have so much space, and to have a bathroom. I can't wait to pick it up!

Anyway, a big hello to you all and I look forward to reading all the posts here!

Thanks,
Valerie

Welcome, Valerie! And enjoy that new toy! It will be a whole new world going from a PUP to a TT. More space, more goodies in the trailer (I am still excited, 3 years later, to have a freezer and a microwave!), etc. And more gas consumption too - just be forewarned. That big wall you'll be towing behind you will mean your mpg will be much different from when you had the PUP. However, most of us feel it's worth it.

Incidentally, I posted a qustion in this same section of the forum about towing with a longer trailer. I've been getting some good advice; you may want to give the thread a look.

Check your PMs too; I sent you one.

Congratulations!! You will have much more space than you've had.
We have the TL in signature & really enjoy it. You will LOVE the bathroom and the storage space. And as mentioned already, the microwave is great.

Enjoy your new home on wheels. We had a Trail-Cruiser prior to our new unit and very much enjoyed it. Just upgrated for more space and no set up.

Welcome from another Illini member. We had a Trail-Lite hybrid for several years and loved it, but we wanted an enclosed trailer. We found the one in our sig and are now happy with it as well. Again, welcome and have fun.

You will love a TT,so much more storage and room, had a pop up then went to 24' years ago, what a difference.....two things you will love the most,in the middle of the night when nature calls.....and when you come home from a long weekend and it's pouring rain, and you pull in the drive and plug the cord in and just go in the house! ENJOY!

Congrats! Another former PUP here...like so many others. Like others have said, you will love it. I really miss the PUP for the feeling of openness, close to nature, but that's on the most perfect day, of course. There are so many advantages to the TT I appreciate, especially as I get older. You can go at a moments notice with very little packing or work. Also, with my tight schedule, I don't worry as much about the weather - just go when I have an open weekend and enjoy!

Best wishes and hope you have many more great experiences!
