I Am looking for inverter . can't seem to find it . I looked in outside storage compartments on passenger side where service mgr from dealer said it would be but couldn't find it. I found converter under the bedroom cabinets on drivers side but no inverter. the rear tv is not working while driving . fantastic fans and lights in desk area work but no tv.

Did the TV ever work while driving? Are you sure you have an inverter? We need more info than you have provided. The lights and fans you mentioned are all 12volts and would work without an inverter.

An Inverter would be optional.......a Converter is standard equipment....

I doubt very much that your Bounder came with a factory installed iverter.....My buddies 2006 Southwind did not.......

Hi,

Most of the light, the fantastic fans, and such all run on 12 VDC, so they do not require an inverter to work. If there is no factory installed inverter in the factory location, then it probably was not factory installed, it is kinda rare for someone to order a factory inverter.

In recent years inverters have become much more affordable. So a 500W inverter from Costco will only cost around $30 and can plug into a cigarette lighter. You can also hard wire them to #10 gauge wire for up to 300 watts output, or #6 wire for up to 500 watts output.

What I did in my RV was install a new cigarette lighter near the front TV. I found some #8 wire up there, and tapped into that for power - connected to a 20 amp fuse. I bought the cigarette lighter receptacle at Radio Shack. I have used them with up to 30 amps going through them for short times, without them overheating. But it is best to stay below 200 watts, or to wire the inverter directly to a fused wire.

There should be a 12 volt cigarette ligher receptacle behind the rear TV, but I don't know for sure. On my TV signal booster, there is a cigarette lighter receptacle, but it is fused at only 5 amps, so I put in a better one.

Fred.

I have an inverter in my 2006 35E and it is on the passenger side in the second storage bin to the left of the steps. It is the same bin where the hot water heater bypass is located. Hope this helps.
