What do you all do to cover up the openings in the pin box to stop the birds from building nests?

Thanks

Never have covered mine but try putting a few mothballs in there. Will keep spiders and birds away.

I purchased a plastic life size owl and set it next to the pin box and have had no problems

We have the same problem, birds building nests in the hitch, the king pin box and go up in the gap between camper and king pin and build a nest in there. I finally took a big black garbage bag and taped it all around my king-pin and the gaps in the camper. That seems to have helped haven't seen or heard any birds since then.

Every year we stick an appropriate sized cardboard box in the hitch box.

Let the birds be. In time, you'll be able to enjoy some nice, fresh eggs.
