Semi-hijacking.....any type of wax will do? Can I go over the decals with the wax without damaging them?

I agree, pay someone to do it.

I fully agree. I've always found that the cost of getting somebody else to do it is far less than the Emergency Room bill would be!

Get a 10 or 12 foot A-frame ladder as previously suggested. That'll allow you to reach everything from the roof edge down, assuming you're about 6ft tall

I just spent the last couple of days washing/waxing my Designer, and a tall (stable) ladder works great!

I agree with the suggestions of getting someone else to do it.No use taking a chance on a ladder going up if your afraid of heights.

I use a 9' step ladder but if you are afraid of heights better to pay someone to do it for you. Will be cheaper in the end.

I wax the top portion from the roof of the 5er then I use a ladder for the rest. I usually do that after I wash and inspect the roof each year.....

I also use an A frame ladder but I have been able to lower the front and climb on a step ladder inside of the bed of truck and reach all the way to the top. This comes in handy when on a long trip and the bugs are building up on the front and you want to clean them up before they get burned into the paint. Good luck!

Do the front cap with protect all and the bugs will come off with hose spray.

Try to stay away from anything like ArmorAll and ProtectAll,
unless you're absolutely sure it's not petro based.

Send for a sampler of 303 Products - they do it "ALL" best, LOL.

I've used 303 and protect all on my front caps and protect all was far better and lasted longer. I love 303 for tires and rubber/plastic trim bits. They are very different products. Both have uv protectant. Amourall was a no no.
