All the parks mentioned are in the "Upper" Valley. I am sure there are more down towards Mercedes, La Feria and Harlingen. You might check the The Valley Morning Star and other newspapers down there. I am not being critical of the upper Valley, just letting you know that there might be other options. Good Luck.

Outdoor Resorts (Monaco) is planning an RV Resort at Lake Travis outside of Austin. Get ready to add another to the list!

I've checked out most of the ones on pawatt's list, and I'd add River Bend in Brownsville. It's one of the nicest I've seen in the valley. Especially if you're a golfer.
Retama Village in Mission is REALLY nice however, I don't like all of the BIG TRUCKS allowed to park on the sites. Many of the owners there have KW's, Peterbilts, etc. and I just wouldn't prefer to have those in a "so-called" higher class community. Don't want to ruffle any feathers, that's just me. If they had a parking area for them, it would be nicer.
However, we prefer the "upper valley" to the lower valley area also.

There are over 500 RV Parks in the RGV and most of them have lots availble - I would suggest you come down for a season and look around until you find what you like.

I would like to clear up some of your misleading statements about Retama Village.
There are 2 Kenworths and no Peterbuilts here. There could be an argument on what constitutes many but 12 HDT’s out of a potential 423 sites is not many to me. We also allow without prejudice Motor Homers and people with pickup trucks.

WOW - Thanks to all you Super Nice Folks for helping 'o)

I did find all the newspapers and there was only 2 lots listed and did not get an answer on either phone # -

Yes we need to go down to RGV, but would like to have a list of sites to look at then gather more info once there.

I'm wondering where would be the most central location to stay at for this expedition - hum

Knowing nothing of RGV any and all info/help is greatly appreciated.

Victoria Palms is one on the nicest parks in the Valley & would be a good central base to explore the Valley from but I don't think they sell lots, as far as I know they are all rental lots.
