Most here have made some really good points. While some will continue doing as they always have and some will do less, or some none at all. THE REAL POINT of the problem of high fuel prices is all the damage it is doing to people and business's throughout the country. The price of all we consume is rising, workers are feeling it, business's are closing down, food is going through the roof, the RV industry is in real trouble, where will it end ???

Anyone who can afford the price of a new Class A can easily afford to put gas it it no matter what the cost!
I happen to agree with Harvard. Simple solution. Use it or sell it.
I agree too. Some can't keep up with their spending habits. Definitely a guage as to whether or not they can continue to.

Look... Don't you think this huge increase in fuel hits everyone? DP, gassers, big SUV, little compacts? If your taking a trip in the 25 MPG car, it still costs more for fuel than last year or the year before. It is all relative. The hotels/motels cost more, the food costs more, Disneyland or where ever costs more, RV parks cost more, etc etc. Some will be forced to stop travel, others will cut back and some will just keep on moving forward. We are all fortunate to have the opportunity to make trips, create memories. They are priceless and can never be repeated exactly the same way.

Are we changing some of our habits for 2008? Yes.. But we're still going. Maybe we should have been a bit less carefree in the past, who knows. But until the elbows hit the wooden coffin in the morning, we are traveling every opportunity we have. The ones I have concern about are those who must drive for a living and pay these fuel prices. Wow... That's scary. We are already feeling it in the goods and services we use.

I hope I don't offend too many people... EAT LESS ! Far too much spent on food and wasted down the drain. Get skinny and spend it on fuel. It'll probably even out.

We are paying a buck or more per US gallon than in the US right now so I thought it was great to spend the winter in the south. Coming home was a shocker. There might be a civil war over this fuel thing.... Why is diesel more than gas..? How can fuel possibly go up three times the early 90's price..? The oil companies are ripping us all off.
