Hi! We took our first trip and when we arrived at our destination, we found all our clothes in the closet on the floor. Does anyone have any tricks to keeping the hangers hung up? Thanks!

Make sure it is stuffed full by wedging things like pillows alongside.

That's an easy fix, depending on a couple of issues. First, slow down when you make your turns. Second, you can buy hangers that are ringed. First unscrew the clothes bar, slide on the rings (whatever amount you need), screw the bar back in place, and rehang your clothes.

We have hangers that are designed for RV's. The camp ground our trailer is at were giving them away as a promotional thing. We don't need them because we are seasonal but I can definately see the value in them. We are heading up to the trailer today and I will see if I can come up with a name.

I've used two methods in the past.

First was to alternate the hanger hook for each piece of clothing. Hang one facing back and the next facing front. The friction between items will hold them in place as they bounce.

Second (the method I like best) is to attach a bungee cord along the top of the closet rod. Use cup hooks or eyelet screws at the proper distance for the chosen cord. With the hanger under the cord (between the cord and rod) the cloths won't bounce off.

Hope this helps, lou

these are the easiest and proven methods...

another I haven't tried is 1/2" foam pipe insulation put on the rod...

have a rear bedroom(last 2 TT's) and the best and easiest way to fix this-measure the width and get the spring loaded bars that they sell for cabinets/refers and put that infront of the bar with the hangers between the closet rod and spring bar.
biggest problem we have is forgetting to put the spring bar up

Wow, what great ideas. We'll be trying most of them to see which is easiest for us.

BUY A KOMFORT!!!

LOL!

Our Komfort has the hinged bar that you have to swing out of the way to hang something, then they snap right back to hold the hanger. Work great! Standard Feature too.
