If you've ever camped at Talladega you probably have seen some of the crazy stuff that goes on. And even if you've never camped, you've probably heard a few stories. Last spring was our first trip to Talladega and we loved it! We stayed in Family Campground D. It was pretty fun, a lot of partying going on around, but nothing too crazy. Late on Friday night, there was a group of guys across from us that had been enjoying themselves all night but were being relativly calm. Closer to midnight, we were sitting outside and heard some extra hooping and hollering. As we looked over, we could see that one of the guys had gotten totally naked and was running around the campground. He eventually ran over near our campsite, picked the garbage can up over his head and held it there like King Kong. Then he threw it down and ran off. It was pretty funny stuff. My guess is that he slept in a bit the next morning! Any other stories out there that can be shared? We are headed down on Thursday this week and are looking forward to more interesting stories.

We went three years back to back in the late 80's. My son was a teenager who got a eduction. It was interesting to watch the Saturday night events unfold. If there was a crowd of people around, you could guess what was inside the circle.

Not a big NASCAR fan but, as an Alabama resident, still embarrassed by this story.
No wonder Oregon wants to ban NASCAR.

I saw an "event" so crude, at 'Dega, I cannot post it on this forum.

I'm missing my first Spring Dega race since 2003. The first few times were really amusing, but I've kind of grown tired of it. I'll skip a few years and it will all seem fresh again!
