Hi,
just about to pickup our new hybrid trailer (roo 233) and called our insurance company for a quote. allmost fellover... $430 per year.
Our old trailer (92 Starcraft popup) was $30 per year.
I understand that the trailer is worth more etc.. but this much?
they also say that I need to have liability insurance for the trailer. for what reason?
I have called a few other brokers and no one wants to insure just the trailer. I have my house, car and truck with one agency and think they want way to much for this.
I live in Southwestern Ontario Canada. What is everyone else paying for insurance? where's a good deal?
thanks

Make sure you are insuring with a company that deals with RV insurance. It makes a difference.

We did not go thru our auto ins.Maybe not a great deal, especially reading how much you others are paying! I better do some research..Dona

We are in Ontario. We currently have a 2005 Fleetwood TT 240BH (hope to trade that in this afternoon actually!) - and with Aviva Insurance we are paying approx $450. It just came due however and we switched to Echelon Insurance and it's only $267 for the exact same coverage.

I pay $178 per year for a 1999 model through State Farm (USA). It is not replacement only to current value which is around $4500.
I'll drop it next year.
