I have the infamous problem with my V10 sucking up water when driving in the rain. Instead of buying the tube from Ford that is suppose to fix the problem ($65) or paying over $300 for a Banks cold air intake I would like to make my own.

Has anyone done this?

Jerry it is not a problem but a feature. Now you do not have to buy the gas saver that squirts water into the intake.

The new ones work OK & are not hard to install but they keep going up in price. I bought mine in 10/06 for $47.83 (with tax). A long time ago I saw a post from a man that had built his own but I'm not sure what forum it was on.

Do a search on here & google it, you might find it.
