My 5er tires have 75% tread remaining on them, but they have weather cracking on 3 of 4 tires. most cracks go all the way around the side wall near the rim, but they don't seem to be very deep. What if any concerns should I have if the tires are still in good shape other than the weather cracks? Does not seem to be a structural issue looking at it, but I am not sure, so I am reaching out to the experts located here-in.

If it was my rig, I would replace the tires.

There may or may not be a structural issue. Eventually, water could make its way into the steel cables at the bead and it could become serious (rust).

I suggest you think about replacing them, I would. JMO

I know money can be a factor. If you can at all replace them. Maxxis is usually at a good price and very reliable.

Might get a tire store to look at it. I'd sure be concerned. If you can catch a fingernail in the crack, I'd get new tires. Did you look to see how old they are from DOT code on tires? Some places install old tires on new trailers.

Tread wear means nothing on RV tires. You'll almost always change them with a lot of tread left. My last set on a class A only had 15,000 mi on them and looked like they could go another 50k. I would buy new ones. That's a lot of load for them and no reason to risk blowouts. I've had a tire go bad on the front of a class A. Scary.

I assume they are only 3 yrs old? That's a bit soon for an issue like this unless they're left stationary in the sun for long periods. Might want to cover the tires when being stored.

ONE blowout could cost you more than a new set of tires. . . . . . . .

I saw the cracks on this one but ignored them because the tread was about 80%

Look close in my sig pic - notice the middle of the wheel skirt is missing? Now you know why!!!

Replace all 4 of them with quality Michelin or Goodyear tires.
