A friend quoted me a price of $851 I just wanted to make sure the price was close. If it was within $100 of the going price I was going to get it from him. I have nothing against the places recommend here but if I can I would rather buy from a friend.
Thanks,
Dave

Try http://www.speedwaysales.com/honda/#EU2000i. They regularly advertise in Trailife Magazine. 867 for 2000i, free shipping,
not too shabby,
Larry.

If I could buy locally for $100 more, I would do it (friend or not).

There is something to be said for doing business locally, not to mention the convenience of local service.

When my grown kids were inspecting our new fifth wheel, one asked why we bought a trailer that sleeps 4. My reply was that we couldn't find one that sleeps 2!

How much larger IS the Yamaha ? ..... and is the Y better than the H ?

The Yamaha 2400 is 20.7" x 16.5" x 18.1" and 70 lbs (dry).

The Honda 2000 is 20.1" x 11.4" x 16.7" and 47 lbs (dry).

I don't like the handle arrangement on the Yamaha. It has two handles, which makes it hard to carry unless you carry it, unless you carry it against your body and makes it difficult to put in a compartment. I prefer the "suitcase" style of the Honda.

The Yamaha does put out more power, which, sometimes, means the difference of being able to run large loads (like an AC unit).

A friend bought an EU2000i a couple months ago. Wise Sales, Mayberry's and a few others were all in the $879 range with free shipping.

There are some ads in Trailer Life and Motorhome magazines from vendors in the same price range.

THX Curt ... but a couple of Q's ....

Is either the Y or H equipped with a iron cyl liner ? ..... There is not that much of a physical size diff -- why the huge weight diff? ... is the Y built that much better? ... what is the current best-price on the Y ?
