Hello all! First time campers and just took out our 2008 232 Roo last night. We noticed that the water pressure is awfully low. Should the water pump be turned on when we are hooked to shore water?

NO. When hooked up to city water, the pressure from the system will provide the pressure inside your unit.

If you are camping without a water hook up, you need to fill your water tank and then use the pump to presurize your system. Don't turn on the water pump when hooked up to a hose.

We have a 21ss Roo, I also found it to have low pressure, and what I did was first take the filter out of the inline canister, The filter steals alot of pressure. We don't drink out of the faucet so no problems there, and if we cook we boil it first, and the shower was are biggest problem and talking with these folks I found a restricter on the shower line that I just redrilled or you can just take it out, That helped alot, NOW I have had no problem, but some people are going to mention watching the pressure at some of the campsites. Been two yrs like this and no problem. Hope I can help.Frank

The furnished filter is 0.5 micron. I replaced is with a 8 micron filter. Two pack is $11 at Home Depot.

Agree on the less-dense filter. We got a two pack at WalMart for around $9 and think it was about a 9 or 10. Made a big improvement. We've considered an in-line, but haven't done anything about it to this point.

Thanks everyone. Sorry for the late reply. I thought that the pump was only for "boondocking". I think I'll try the less-dense filter idea.
