I've also got both. I prefer the gas, however, the electric one is ok. At our park in the Branson area, I've got the electric one, and it is VERY slow pulling our steep hills. In Texas, I've got a gas one, and use it mostly for golf. Now if I can only swap them somehow!
Most people would be better off with an electric cart.

We have a gas Club Car. I wanted gas because I didnt want to bother with a charger or batteries. I spend a lot of time on the road with my job and I wanted my DW to be able to just get in it and hit the pedal and go and not worry about plugging in and unplugging. I feel they both have their place. A gas fit our needs better. I don't know how long ours will run on it's 6 gal. tank, but it is a LONG time. My grandson can run it from daylight til dark and I haven't heard "PawPaw I'm out of gas" yet.

we chose electric for the same reason already mentioned .... that being some of the campgrounds we really enjoy (like Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach allow electric carts but not gasoline powered ones) ... while I guess there could be one out there, I've never been to one that allows gasoline and not electric

I'd say it depends on what you plan to do. If you just want to cruise around an RV park electric might be your best bet. If you think you may be doing some off roading or working around your property then get a gas rig for sure, something like a Polaris Ranger or Yamaha Rhino. I've seen golf carts off road and they are just this side of useless.

We went electric because they are quiet and tended to be cheaper than the gas ones. Paid $1500 for our EZGO from a Chiropractor who used it at his home on the golf course, and it was in excellent condition.

Don't bother bringing either one to South Dakota State parks because they are not allowed.

I own an electric one, course i keep it at the golf course. Keep in mind what others said, some places don,t like the noise of the gas ones. Also when the battries go bad u r buying 6 of them, not cheap.

In SC, electric only at state parks. It also has to have a SCDMV issued road use sticker and insurance. I have never been hassled at a state park over the sticker or proof of insurance however. Now the thing that makes no sense to me is the state parks require electric as to be quite, yet people put car stereo's in them with amps and subs. Then the ladies cruise the loops at night and see how loud they can play the music....
