How about this stuff? Seems like a handy thing to have around an RV, anyway.

It the surface is clean & dry, pull it tight as possible when wrapping. Wrap one direction on the pipe, then wrap over the first layer the other direction. Should solve your problem.

You can find the silicone tape in a lot of places. If you can get at it to use that it would be the easiest. You would only need to wrap it one way. Just overlap your seems a little. It's supposed to handle up to 700lbs psi. So I would think it would work great on a drain.

I used the black tape pictured above, or it siblings and it doesn't work well on plumbing. The tape is great as a self-fusing rubber if you need electrical insulation, or shock absorbing pad, but it doesn't stick to the pipes and water comes out from under it.
Goop is good, epoxy would be better if you know how to use it. Can turn really mess if you don't.

I second the JB Weld. to get a good bond make sure it's dry and sand it a bit to get a grip. Will last longer than the RV

Last Update:

Thanks for all the suggestions.

It turned out that the leak was at the drain flange where it meets the tub floor. It finally got warm enough to not worry about freezing, so I put the drain plug in and dumped a gallon of water in the tub. I reached up in the tiny front access and water was coming in with the tub plugged. I dried it out and put a bead of silicon stuff on the flange and let it dry. That stopped the leak so I think the problem is solved. There is not much room to get a wrench in there, so I think I'll get by with a bead of silicon for now. I canceled the repair appointment so no hit to the checkbook. Thanks again all.
