I was just wondering, what the GVWR is and if you ended up with 10% of the weight on the stands???
or did you just throw it together willy-nilly...

you might want to balance the wheels also, I am a firm believer in, if it turns it should be balanced...

Oh man, why is there coffee schnot on my keyboard? BTW, nice handy work, good to see there's still people that don't buy everything, but make their own.

Yep it all checks out fine!!!
I measured center axle from ground to frame and same for the stands. Everything is level at 3-5/8" all the way around...

My dry weight on the unit was 100 LBS. and then I added 4 gallons of gas at about 8 LBS. per gallon which adds another 32 LBS. for a grand total of 132 LBS... I figure since the wheels are a little farther ahead than the stands that they are carrying about 2/3's the load of the rig... That makes for 88 LBS. loaded on the rear wheels and 44 LBS. of load on the front stands... I'm guessing my handle tongue weight to be about 12% of the total unit weight which would be 15.84 LBS...

It doesn't pull to bad but I may end up adding Timbrens on the rear and a Reese Dual Cam on the handle to reduce sway when pulling...

Do you think I should have upgraded the 6" wheels to 8"???

I would upgrade the muffler but unit isn't really making much noise there; it seems to be crank case and drive terrain contributing the most...

For the most part where I am going to use it in the pasture next to the Platte River all alone by my little own self; it will serve me fine! I will pull my 30' camper cord and use my extra 25' cord for a total of 55'... That should put me about 28.45db from genny to TT...

Regards,

Rob

Ok, so it pulls well and is relatively balanced.......

I hope you don't plan on running that thing in a CG.
It "LOOKS" noisy, and ANY noise in a CG will bring about The End Of The World As We Know It. (TEOTWAWKI).

You should have bought TWO of the Binford 2000 Ultra Whisper quiet units and tied them together.
For only $15,500 you could have had the proper setup to run your TT in a CG without any noise whatsoever.

You know, LOUD generators are the #1 cause of cancer, AIDS, and club foot.

If you can't hold the genny's with one on each shoulder, and STILL hear a whisper at 50 paces, you should be arrested for noise pollution, publicly flogged, tarred and feathered.... and then dipped into the septic holding tank.

What???

Hold on a sec, lemme turn down my Television and turn my AC off.

Now, what were you saying???
