No law says we all have to pay the same.

I'll ask: What would you say if at the end of the month you boss said, "Here is you pay check for the month and by the way I'm only giving you 1/2 as much."

Good point!

I really don't see that getting someone to take less for what they sell is so noble. What some find clever, others see as just a bit sleezy.

A rather odd question considering it reflects being paid for services all ready performed at a previously negotiated rate vs. negotiating for service not yet rendered.

This is why some people shop at the flea market and others go the mall. Some people won't buy anything unless they feel they are getting some kind of a deal or special treatment. (read... "they are somehow superior to the next guy") (Of course these same people cringe when they have to buy groceries and gasoline and have to pay full-retail) LOL.

You're right, I won't buy anything unless I feel I'm getting a deal. There's an old saying "take care of your pennies and your dollars will take care of themselves". If you want to pay full bore (read ...I don't know how to negotiate or shop for a deal), then you go right ahead. I don't feel "superior to the next guy" when I get a deal, I feel happy for my wallet.
Btw, I don't pay full retail for groceries either .. I shop at warehouse stores. I'm surprised you haven't heard about them.
Full retail for gas? Yeah, you got me there.

I didn't say I pay full price on all my goods...we are talking about campgrounds and RV Parks here.

However, when a park charges "X" dollars, that's what I pay...or I choose another park. Like I said...just a little sleazy trying to bargain on certain things and I consider this one of them.

And when we quote a price at our business, that's exactly what people pay.

Don't try to tell me you "negotiate" on everything. If you do, I hope I'm not near you at a restaurant, a gas station, a movie theater, or at Best Buy in the checkout lane, among other places.

Add your school tuition to that list, too.

We've always tried to negotiate our motel stays, and often got great discounts. Why not do the same for an rv spot? With the prices some charge, they probably expect people to negotiate!
