That is a good cord and 10 gauge, but is a little spendy. And like I said before you have a little bit of time and there may be a sale coming up. Also for the same money and normal price you could buy the 30 amp 50 ft cord at CW, and you could use it with a adapter at both ends or use it if needed for more length at a place with only a 30 amp plug.
Ok, I just went to Home Depot and got a 50ft 15AMP cord by Rusky. I think that was the name. 12 Guage 15 amp. If I'm plugging into shore power or a garage that has 20 amp, do I need the 30 amp cord? Now I think I should have got the 30 amp cord instead of the 15 amp. Help!
15 amp vs 20 amp rating is just the definition of how the end connectors are terminated. A NEMA 20 amp will have the exact same plug as the NEMA 15 amp with the hot turned 90 degrees but it is the same metal and current capacity. The #12 wire will handle 20 amps continously. While plugged into the 20 amp outlet this cord will provide full current that the outlet will provide. Voltage drop will not be enough to think about #10 wire unless you are out 150+ feet. Plug it in, let the battery charge for an hour, turn on the air and check voltage. All will be good.
Sears and K-mart (Same company now) both sell a very very nice 12 ga 3-wire extension cord with 15 amp plug and outlet,, What's more the outlet has a lock button so it "Grabs" onto your adapter. Very nice I have one
I'm currently running my rig on 20 amps, I can run one of the following
Microwave, Air conditioner, Water Heater
But only one at a time.

Any of you gurus want to tell me who I can customize my own sewer hose holder.
CW has one called a EZ Hose Carrier:

Looks simple enough. Looks like 4" PVC pipe with caps at each end. I can probably get a piece cut to size, drill some holes in the caps for ventilation. How do I secure to the basement? Some type of clamp and screw it in to the wall? That's the part I don't understand.
