Of course now I'm wondering if - "Father-in-Law back from Chili"
means,
the South American country of "Chile" or
was he at Chili's restaurant
or maybe a Chili tasting festival . . . . LOL!
~
In any case, hope he had a good trip or a good meal, LOL!

And . . .Floyd, you will now and forever be: "Lamont".
(As in - Lamont Cranston)
~
JC - (AKA: "The Whistler")

LOL--My Bad! Yes, I did a boo boo in my spelling--was in a hurry 2 post and see what I get. Yes, he had a good trip.

Hello all, I am writing to let you all know that although I can't tell you what exactly was wrong with the unit, Paul did get me a new one as it would take extra time to have the old one fixed. So I am satisfied with the results. Thanks to all for your help. Nance

you are most welcome, the 'CCC' is glad to know you got satisfactory results, it usually happens much faster..
see once Paul Cole ( chief service tech ) at champion became aware of what happen, he took steps to correct the situation.

And yet we still have one or two champion owners who feel champion doesn't do enough for their customers! I don't know about the rest of you but companies who repeatedly go out of their way to make a customer happy, like champion has done, are few and far between.

Racefan1965,

I'm sure you refer to member number two and not me. However, things must be 'Tested' before one can say 'Proven' you have stated another genset importer did not prove out to your satisfaction. This report is needed for all of us to determine for ourselves, which Company might stand behind what they sell. The Chinese importer seem to have a out when they give a Factory warranty. You are 100% correct with your stating, it's up to the Company if they want to keep the customer happy. I agree, Champion goes far and beyond the stated warranty from all the reports. For me, I have 'tested and proven' the Champion C46540 to be of high quality and have had no serious issues. I have not followed the recommended adjustment of the value lash but maybe this is possibly a overkill. I will not try to influence others. The AVR in the C46540 has proven to give great power to all my RV needs. It has passed the 'stress test' far beyond what I would recommend to others. At this time I can't report about the need for CS. It's reported, only about 1% will ever need this service, that is a vary good thing. And that 1% like in the case of 'Nance459' are blessed with CS from Champion.
