Many parks change the code on the locks every week. If you are staying longer you get a card with "now till the 30th use 1-2-3-4 30th to 37th use 5-6-7-8 38th through end of stay use 9-0-1-2 or whatever the numbers are.

We go to one CG that has a code to enter the facilities. I have a hard time trying to remember the code. Seems the later it gets, the harder it is to remember the code. Not sure what it is.

We very, very seldom use the campground facilities so it doesn't matter to us. We bought our rig to use, so we do!! That's one reason for having all facilities aboard.

The only park I have stayed in (I'm a boondocker) wanted $15 for a "bathroom key deposit". I'd rather use the bathroom in my TH. It's always much cleaner than a public restroom

I have stayed in parks that have combination numbers and so forth on the baths. In general it keeps the "riff raff" out. but didn't keep me out.
why is this being debated? I have been in parks where you had to pay extra for the combination, which seems fair to me.

I have often used the restrooms or at least entered them to check them out when I have been checking out parks for future stays.

I agree with fiver and hornet! This sounds more like a "prissy" problem.....in my experience, bad situations---even marginal situations----are rare. If the CG looks like cr_p, the johns and other facilities will probably be the same way......I've never heard of any REAL problem resulting from different locks....or lack of them....
