Just wondered if I have problems with my system in the evenings, or is everyone having troubles getting on in the PM.

Last night, for example, it appeared to crash while I was on, maybe my dialup is too fast...

My theory (very unofficial and without technical knowledge) is that this ongoing problem is caused by nothing but overuse or inadequate size for the amount of traffic that is trying to access at the same time.
Its a very popular site and just not capable of handling the traffic at its peak times of usage.

Seems like server overload, but you are not alone.

Yep, it happens at times, not only in then evenings. Yesterday mid-morning, I was having trouble accessing the Good Sams site as well. I needed my membership number to make a camping reservation. The Good Sams site acted just like RV.net's Open Road Forums at times. At the same time I was having trouble with Good Sams, I checked RV.net and it was having trouble as well. I'm sure they are all hosted on the the same server farm.

You are not the only one having problems. This morning I had weird error messages. Other times the browser couldn't find the server. Generally speaking, as the day progresses, the problem gets worse. Really gets frustrating when you try to post a message. Now days I'll "copy" the message just in case I get an error message.

I log on thru Trailer Life in the evenings. Otherwise forget it.

When I get to heaven,
I shall see three wonders there.
The first wonder will be to see
many there whom I did not expect to see.
the second wonder will be to miss
many people who I did expect to see.
and the third and greatest of all
will be to find myself there.

Hi

I have found that when I can't get on at RV.Net, I'll try Good Sam if that won't work then I try Woodall's, generally one will work if the other two don't.

Just too many of us spending way too much time here! lol
