How do you all secure your 5er so someone cannot hitch up to it and pull it away? Is there a lock of some kind for it?

There are all kinds of sleeves you can buy that slip over the pin and lock into place.

I have owned a fifth wheel for many of years and this is not a concern for me.
I also feel that a lock will cause me more problems (like lost key and lock mal function) than it solve. Finally, I pay state farm for a feeling of security every month.

We used the sleeve type lock with an ace key when we were home since the pin was right at the edge of the street when parked in our drive. We didn't use it at campgrounds, etc.

We had a king pin lock, its looks like a short length of pipe with two small slots for the lock. Now we have a king pin stabilizer (really helped with the front end motion) and you can slip a lock in it same as the king pin lock, so we got two for one on that deal. check out camping world they have a few types of king pin locks

I use a short length of chain and a pad-lock keyed the same as my house key. It will stop all of the honest theves, but not the determined ones. At least I can tell the State Farm it had a lock on it.

Summarizing the above, you can buy any of several types king pin locks at camping supply stores, you can use a piece of chain around the king pin with a pad lock, or (as I also do) use my tripod which has two slots in the collar to attach a pad lock.
I keep 2 sets of keys on separate key chains for all locks associated with my 5er in my truck and another set in my wife's SUV.

Normally I don't miss with a lock. I have Rotochocks for the wheels, and they have a place for a lock. I've also used kingpin locks. Either should lock.
