Hi,
We purchased a locking sleeve type lock that has an internal pin. I believe the cost was about $40 from Camping world and it works great.
the key is the type that looks like the ones used for vending machine locks.

Now we have a king pin stabilizer (really helped with the front end motion) and you can slip a lock in it same as the king pin lock, so we got two for one on that deal. check out camping world they have a few types of king pin locks

We're the same way, most of the time. If someone wants to get in, they'll break a window.
As for the fiver, if the "borrower" wants it, THEY can deal with the insurance company!

If you have a B&W companion then you can detach the top half and lock it around the king pin. Now obviously someone with a companion could back up and still steal it, but that's probably enough to stop most people from considering stealing it.

No lock on the pin, just on the hitch to keep someone from unhooking the fiver at a rest stop. We don't worry about anyone stealing the fiver. We live in it fulltime, it weighs 20,000lbs, and it is usually parked in a secure location (often in a military fam camp).

I never thought about someone stealing the entire rig. They would have to have a PR SuperGlide or its gonna mess up their hitch. Thats what insurance is for right?

I bought a cable bicycle lock and run it thru the wheel rim and around the frame of the camper. Also U can find various ways to lock UR tongue down. I sure don't want anyone hooking to mine while I'm away sightseeing. I imagine they wouldn't want to go far before they stop to steal the contents.

I used my king pin stablizer then lowered the legs so it was impossible to undo the stablizer.
Have a great time camping,
