Hi to all. We had very heavy rains this week and when I went out to the 5er to check on thinks, the carpet was damp on the right side of the living room slide next to the wall. The unit is a 2003 Jayco, 325BHS (i haven't change my signature yet). I can not see any moisture coming down the wall. Where could it be coming from? Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Leaks are usually hard to locate. Check with local RV places to see if they have the RV Leak Detection System. They coat the camper with soapy water the pressurize it thru a vent. The leaks bubble on the outside.

I have a buddy that had a leak coming in through a light that wasn't sealed properly. Leaks are really tough.

You can leak test yourself. Find a way to tightly close the trailer except for one opening with a leaf blower sealed to the opening and pressurizing the inside of the trailer. Swab the outside with soapy water and look for bubbles. Look closely at and under everything for even the smallest stream of bubbles.
I'm free of prostate cancer for 5 years now.
All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

I can attest to the rainy weekend. I left my slides out after I washed the camper. I checked yesterday and NO leaks. If it didn't leak after this weekend and Monday I don't think it will any time soon.

You don't say whether the slide was extended or retracted. If extended, are you level, or at least tilted to the slideout side?
Or is the wet spot now the low point for the slide roof to drain in? If retracted, some of the same holds true. You don't want your trailer tilted to help water on the slideout side run inward.
Two other things to consider: was it extremely windy and did it blow up and in the lower corner? Is your slideout all the way extended or retracted in order to fully engage the seals?
I'm not saying you don't have a leak somewhere, but think these are some things you should consider in your search....Brian

Thanks to all who have responded. Brian, thanks for pointing out that I did not mention the slide position. It was OUT. And yes, it was very windy. As I can remember, the 5er is level side to side and front to back. If anything, it may be a 1/2 of a bubble high on the opposite side.

I took mine to the dealer. They checked it and found the leak and fixed it. Easier than me trying to find it.
