I had squeeks in the Tradewinds before we drove it to Alaska. After 40 days up there all the squeeks and rattles were gone.

Thw front cage area has the least support and framing - especially around the windshield. The overhead cabinets meeting the sidewalls and fastened above the windshield are often loosely attached to very little structure. Try forcing some small shims in the various gaps of the cabinet joints - just enough to identify the areas making the noises. Once you know what's moving, you can work from there.

I'm not sure how the Tropical differs from the Dolphin as far as the front cabinets, but ours was making a lot of noise from the plastic cover that goes between the cabinet and the top of the windshield. the screwws were loose & the cover would squeek over every bump in the road. It was a bear to find. Finally drove around touching and pushing everything I could get my hands onto and I still couldn't find it. Wasn't until I sat on the dash and looked behind the cabinet that I even knew there was a plastic cover back there. I only touched it once and it squeeked. Bingo! Tightened the screws every so often now & no more squeek. Good luck

I had a squeak coming from the around the Television in the front upper cabinet. It had a wood strip on top of the TV that was supposed to hold it in place but that is where the squeak was coming from because of a small gap between the two. I took the wood strip off, two brackets with wood screws, and glued some rubber to the wood strip, reinstalled it and the squeak went away. Those squeaks are tough to find, you almost need someone else to drive while you listen.

There is an old flooring trick, if you can identify where the squeak is coming from but can't do anything about it, you might want to try baby powder. Blow some baby powder where the squeak was coming from. The fine powder will get in between tight boards that are rubbing and sort of allow the wood to slide. No more squeak.

I had a very persistent squeak in the front TV set which drove me nuts. I removed the TV set, padded the inside of the TV cabinet and then made sure all screws were tight. It stayed squeak free for about 6 months, then started squeaking again. About that time I read on the TiffinRVnetwork.com that someone had sprayed the area where the TV tube met the plastic TV cabinet with silicone spray. Inasmuch as I had some silicone spray, I tried it. Worked like a charm and hasn't squeaked since. Silicone spray is cheap and easy and might just solve your problem.

I got one like that, sounds like I am holding a cat by the tail out the window at 80 MPH. All cat lovers out there I would never really do it, it would be to hard to concentrate on my driving.

Found it the other day turns out to be the plastic trim ring around the TV. It is rubbing on the ceiling I started planing it with my knife(Held 90 degrees from the top edge), a little at a time and plan to drive it this weekend to see if it needs more.

Mine squeaks something terrible because of its age but have found on some trim and screws to loosen then and put a very small amount of white lithum grease between the parts. I had some squeaks that I kept tightening the screws till I stripped them. They are going to move a little so simply let them move quietly. John
