Today is my second sad milestone of RV ownership. The first sad moment came a few months ago when my wife and I returned home from the Seattle RV show and upon seeing our beloved Arctic Fox park along side our house as it has for nearly 8 years and the felling of guilt that came over me knowing that I was soon to trade her in for a brand new 08 Komfort. Anyway, let's get back to today.... Today is the last time that I will ever hook up the AF as we are sending her off for another family to hopefully enjoy her as much as we have. like many of us, the amount of fun I have had with my AF is priceless and I shall never forget my first RV'g experience with her.
The last sad milestone will be this Saturday when we pick up our fresh off the line 2008 256TS Komfort. If our new Komfort is half as good as our Arctic Fox has been, I'll be one happy camper for many years to come.

Congrats! Have been through the trade-in-old-Trusty blues twice now, and you'll probably get over it. Hope some nice family gets your Arctic Fox soon & enjoys it!

Sorry to hear you are switching over to Komfort. I hope yours does not turn out to be as big of a mistake as ours has been. I am actually talking with a AF dealer now about trading our 08 Komfort for another AF. Make sure you look at the siding real good on your PDI. There has been numerus runs including ours that Komfort used the wrong glue and the siding is getting bubbles in it. Also Komforts attention to detail is less to be desired compaired to our last two AF. It seems to me that the person doing the caulking decides to use the sides of the trailer as a towel to wipe the exses caulk on. You may want to also remove all the caulk and replace it with Geocel a brand that AF uses because the stuff Komfort uses collects the road grim and makes the trailer look like its 10 years old. Also check the heating ducts for poping noise when the furnace runs, ours is tearable and keeps us up at night. Double check the corner of the slides for air gaps, ours you can see daylight through and you can feel the cold air come through at night. Do mean to be so negative, but we have had two Fox's that did not have naaerly the troubles this Komfort has had and it only 6 months old. The one good thing is that Komfort is standing behind it and the president of the company is telling me that he is going to make it 100% right.

And I can present the other side of the coin.. Our Komfort has been fantastic, the previous post is one of the very few that every had problems. We had a 2 year warranty that we never needed to use for anything. We now have 3 seasons and well over 20,000 miles on it with zero problems. Better than the AF.. and they are both quality units.
Even his is being taken care of 100%
With his luck his next AF will be a lemon, after all every company builds one once in a while.
BTW, I have no idea what he is talking about regarding the caulking. Whatever Komfort uses has held up perfectly and I inspect everything twice a year. They are one of the few companies that pressure tests every unit before it leaves the factory.

I thought you were done bashing???? Are you going to also delete this post when everyone comes on and speaks good of their Komforts???
Get rid of the darn thing so that we don't have to keep hearing the sour grapes every time we log in.
Arcticdodge, We have had nothing but good to say about our Komfort. Ours has been trouble free, and if by any chance you need to get anything done, the guys down at Clearview RV are as good as it gets.
Good luck with yours, enjoy, maybe we'll see you on the track or trail. Congrats on the purchase.

Your trading one of the best for another of the best. Nothing to be sad about. Enjoy your new trailer and know that some other family will have a "new to them" trailer that they can enjoy as well.
Can't put a pricetag on the memories.

Articdodge, Sounds great to me. I think your Komfort will be every bit as good as your A/F was. You will maintain it properly no doubt. That is the key to most trouble.
CONGRATS on the new TT. Just bring her home, and have good times with her. As far as the old A/F--dont look back. Dont try to locate later. Dont think any more about it (EXCEPT FOR THE MEMORIES) You did good. TIM
