Is it possible to convert the electric brakes on a trailer to hydraulic brakes?

Sure...all it takes is money.

What is wrong with your present brakes? Post your details, including the make and model of your brake controller, and likely members of this forum will have some good ideas to improve the brakes. You always downshift on long downgrades in your Colorado mountains, right? Your engine needs to be your primary means of speed retardation, and the brakes just the final touch to get down to the speed you feel is safe for your rig on that road.

I'm free of prostate cancer for 5 years now.
All men over age 50 should get an annual PSA blood test. Mine had a low reading, but the yearly jump was significant. The biopsy showed cancer just entering the aggressive stage. Dr. Hackenslash removed it.

Call MorRyde in Elkhart, IN. We replaced the electric brakes with Electric over Hydrillic Disk brakes. No more concern about not stopping at any time or on any road conditions.

I did it myself. I have a 28BH Cruiser. The elec brakes at best were not too good. I lost a brake last fall on a trip It fell apart and I had meltdown. I didn't want to replace it with a 50 year old technology. I found parts on the net and converted my brakes in my driveway. 12" Kodiak disc w/ceramic pads. It was not hard. They work great. I have between $1000 and $1100 tied up in parts. If I had 1 accident because I couldn't stop it would cost more than that. No more pulling wheels to check brakes. The brakes run cooler. They stop better. send me your e-mail and I will send pics. There was a television program recently about changing over to hyd/disc on the speed channel called "Truck U"

I did and it is a world of difference. They make better actuators these days too than what mine are and mine even work great.
