This is an FYI for those considering ways to improve ride comfort. I experienced some pretty severe chucking with our rig. It was very uncomfotable for DW when we were on expansion joint highways or rougher roads. So, I decided to bite the bullet and install the Mor-Ryde "pin cushion". I have a Pull Rite hitch and ordered the appropriate plate, getting the benefit of easy pin conversion to conventional if needed.
What an improvement! Our first trip with the Mor-Ryde was 1200 miles and I can report that it made a world of difference! So for me, it was a very worthwhile investment and possibly the most valuable addition I've made to the rig.

I agree with your evaluation. An air ride pin box or hitch will help most rigs. The heavier the fiver and truck, the more it seems to help. It is almost mandatory to have an air pin box or hitch with class 6-8 trucks, especially class 7 & 8. The air ride greatly eases the stress on the fiver pin box and frame.
Glad you made the improvement!

I just installed the Mor Ryde pin box on my fifth wheel last Sunday. Our first road trip is tomorrow to Otter Lake in Pennsylvania. Can't wait to experience the difference!

The trailer we bought last May came with the Mor Ride hitch and suspension. Yes it made a lot of difference. This trailer was identical floodplain to the one we traded in. You could really tell that Mor Ride helped.

We purchased a Corsair Excella 26RKS last summer. The coach comes standard with a MOR/ryde pinbox with the rubber interface between kingpin plate and mounting to chassis. We experienced no chucking whatsoever on our trip from Vancouver Island to Toronto and back. The driving was most enjoyable.
Our hitch is a 16K Pullrite Superglide which makes for a good combination with the MOR/ryde.

I thought the Mor-Ryde was a rubber pin box, not air ride. Has there been a change to air ride?

Our first rv trip of the year to Otter Lake was great. The Mor Ryde pin box really smoothes out the ride. I could feel the difference immediately, especially in stop and go traffic on I-84 outside of Waterbury on Friday. I wish I had bought the Mor Ryde years ago.
