I'm looking for replacement 6V batteries - Exide 3600 or equivalent. My local Sam's Club doesn't stock 6V. Not sure if this is a local preference or applies nationwide.

What's a good source at a good price?

Thanks!

Troll through your local Yellow Pages and call golf cart shops and battery shops asking for their best price on golf cart batteries.

Look for a local Interstate Battery dealer or distributor, the U2200 is a 6V deep cycle equivalent to the Trojan T-105. The are distributors in Bangor and Windham, or use the dealer locator on their site.

Your local Sam's club have them at the best price I think about 69 dollars. They are made by exide.

Costco! The best place to buy most stuff. I just bought two there, about $75 ea and they're nearly the exact equivalent of the T105's. All the stores don't have them, I had to drive 50 miles to one that did but any store can tell you where they're stocked.

Got mine from BJ's Wholesale Club (similar to Sam's Club).

Bought 4 last year for my home alt-power setup. I'll be buying another 4 shortly. Exide golf cart batts, 6V, 226 AH.

This was last years price, note they have plenty in stock!:

Lead prices keep going up. Think the current price is $99. Great batteries.

I much prefer US-batteries at Costco over Sam's Excides.. Bit more expensive but while my feelings about Excide are... Kind of "Bargain Basement" US-Battery is equal to Interstate and they rank about #2.. Right behind Trojan

Recently replaced two Exide E3600 batteries with two Trojan T105's. The specs are nearly identical, but the operation sure is not. The Trojans maintain a higher voltage for much longer with the same load, so IMO are much better. Maybe the amp hours are the same, never tested that, didn't really care. Your choice, but I would not buy Exides again, at least not deep cycle 6 volters.

Can't prove it by me. I watch my Voltage levels several times a day for the past year. The Exide batteries are doing just fine. Even after a load on the batteries for 6 hours every night, they are still between 12.7 and 12.8 Volts UNDER LOAD. That's still 100% rating according to the specs. When the load turns off, and they're allowed to rest, the Voltage comes back up.

My batteries are recharged via solar panels, so the readings at night aren't artifically high due to a charger.

So what's your battery Voltage the next morning, without the charger?

Got a Trojan battery in my boat, it does fine too.

No magic about this. Most all batteries are made by 3 companies. Not a huge difference between them. Chemistry is the same, so the Voltage will be too.
