My DH and I are planning to be full time within a years time and we was wondering what people are paying for campsites? I'm trying to get our budget ironed out and campsite cost I need help with. We hope to stay at least a month in each place, so if I could get what fellow campers are paying for a month of camping, where you are, and what services are included in that cost. Thanks ahead of time for any help you can give me.

If you are going to go fulltime, it would be in your best interest to "INQUIRE" about the different campground memberships available in the area(s) of the country you plan to frequent. DON'T jump off the deep end and just start purchasing memberships until you have been in the fulltimers mode for at least a year. THEN and only then if you find that a TT or CRA or RPI or any other membership sounds like something that would benefit you, purchase them only from private individuals who are interested in selling because they no longer use it. After market camping plans can be very affordable and usually as much as 1/10th the price of the same membership purchased from the campground itself.
If you would like a spreadsheet with what I have spent fulltimeing for over three years, send me a private email and I'd be glad to share it.

We use $300-350 as a guideline when looking for a site on a monthly rate. We will not camp without water, electric and sewer. Some campgrounds will include cable and free WiFi for that amount too. Others will charge monthly rates for TV and WiFi. We find that we can stay within that budget without much difficulty. We occasionally get a surprise and find a monthly rate around $200. We will go over budget if we want to be in a particular place that has higher rates. There are so many variables that this is a difficult question. Good luck! This really is the good life.

We are at Ozark Country CG in Branson, MO. It's $330 per month with water, electric, sewer, wifi and cable. There is a nice, clean laundry room, a large library/book swap and a pool.

In five years we have spent as little as $5200 in a year on camping fees and as much as $7400.

As far as monthly fees: We have paid as little as $275 in Perry, Georgia And as Much as $1000 in Bar Harbor, Maine.

We are now on the Oregon Coast and paying $475 plus electric.

We find that the places we choose to stay tend to average around $500/month.

If you would like to see the actual expenses that we have had over the past four years, just visit this link: Four Years Expenses

I will be soon putting up the figures for the year just past, but am still compiling them.

Depends a lot on where in the country you go and if you seek out the hidden parks (city parks) or stay in resorts. We've paid $225 a month in MO (full hookups no frills) and $380 in GA (full h/u, cable, local phone) up to $840 in CA for full h/u and no frills. Good bargains are to be found in small city/town rv parks that are run by the municipalities. Good luck!

FHS from $199 plus electric to $700 depending on where in the country we are. I would say we average about $350.

Depends on location.

My advice to you is budget more than you will use. Costs go up and you would rather have a little more money than not enough at the end of the month.

We budget $1,000 per month for CG costs. Depending on where we stay the monthly rates vary from $450 - $1,000. SE Florida is fairly expensive because there really aren't that many options.
