If you are going to stay a month in each place, please realize that you won't see much of the country very soon. You didn't say what style of fulltiming you thought would be right for you - and you probably don't know yet. For the first year, I think you really should prepare a budget that will let you explore and see what type of travel suits you. We budget $600/month. Now we don't spend that, but I use the $20/night as a figure for budgeting purposes. We like to stay a week or two in each place and then move 150-200 miles down the road and explore another place. In order to do this efficiently, we use membership parks about 1/2 of the time. We can go for months at a time spending under $100/month.
We did stay for a month in Florida this winter - $590/month, but the same park will be $650/month next winter!

We are now full-timers since we handed over the key to our apartment & also retired YESTERDAY!!! YAAAA!!! I was looking for the same information, and am pleased to find that once we leave S. Florida in 2 weeks we won't have to pay $750/month (at the County Park in our area) any longer. We would like to head west, probably I-20, and take it 200 miles at a time, with no time limit expectations of getting anywhere, at any specific time. We want to "see the USA in our Chevrolet", and meet people from all places, so our stays may be daily, weekly, or monthly, depending on how we feel that day. A retirement dream come true!

Campgrounds costs do vary depending on what areas you are traveling and where ya stay etc. We have been in West Virginia, Virginia and now in College Park, Md and the costs have been anywhere from 20 bucks from 50 a day where we are now for a few days. We try and use our pp america when we can, and sometimes stay for a max week on the way up to help with costs. Hope this helps.

We don't stay long enough to get the monthly rate. When we are on the road, we pull off at Wal-mart, for the night; when we get to our destination, we look in our Passport American book for a 1/2 price cg. We usually stay only 3-5 days at each location.
We Full Time and put on more than 12,000 Miles in the last 12 months. Averaged Nightly Cost was $6.60 per night! Which included an Amortized cost for our Memberships and Annual Dues.
We did not spend one night in the last 365 not hooked to a Power Post!
Life is what you make of it, with the Grace Of God and Blessing each day!

Our budget for Campgrounds was $28.00 per nite. When we can get a weekly
or monthly rate or when we stay in a National Forest campground we save
considerably on this rate. Belong to Passport America, also, which is a 50%
discount club. Have saved the yearly $40.00 fee many times over
We paid $1000/month in Maine last year. $650/month in Florida last year. We are presently paying $650/month in Cody, WY this month. However, we have a place lined up on the coast in Washington that has cable TV and is right on the beach for $235/month plus electric.
We just crossed the US from Dayton, OH to Cody, WY and averaged about $32/night in campsites. Some Passport America campgrounds, some KOA and some Good Sam as well as unaffiliated campgrounds.
The real bear was the $750 in fuel costs for 1900 miles covered. That was when diesel was averaging $4.10/gal. It's just hit $4.40/gal in Cody.
