Hi John,

I think you are talking about the Hi Limit Switch.
It's mounted on the housing of the blower. It may have a resettable bi metal switch that has a red button in the middle of it. Look for two wires of the same color leading to the blower area.
More then likely, something failed to have tripped it!

Good Luck

None that I can think of other than re-setting by turning the switch on and off. Most I ahve seen reset when the water cooled. the limits are around 130 operator and 200F limit. both are under the card board or plastic box inside near the water connection. They look like oval buttons with two wires coming from them and are clamped firmly to the tank. if one has a manual reset it will have a red button in the center. My big consern is why it got too hot? Some where on the unit there is a wiring diagram that should help. they may maybe maked TC (temp control). Wish I could be more help. good luck
Never mind was thinking hot water heaters. Yes furnace does have re-set.

Assuming this is a furnace and not a water heater there will be no reset internally as has been described. The reference to reset is referring to the thermostat where you set temperatures. Just simply turn it off and back on at the T-stat, and if the electrical supply is adequate the furnace should go.
