I think we may try this. Can't hurt to try anything once. Never been to a rally with other people. We typically try to be your pretentious, quiet, evil eyed neighbors that you avoid.

We met up with these folk in May for our first rally too. They were all extremely friendly and ever so helpful to us noobs. I enjoyed meeting and talking to all of them! It's always more fun camping with friends. I only wish I could join you all that weekend.

BTW, did I mention my problem about what to do that weekend was solved? No camping that weekend, my TT is going in to the dealer for warranty repairs. I emailed them with 17 pictures of problems....we're bringing it in after our trip to Lithia Springs next weekend.

Going to Turkey run August 22 so I better have it back by then.

Turkey Run is great, you'll enjoyit. You do have reservations, right?

We've been thinking about going there sometime as well. We've been to the Raccoon Lake SRA which is down the road a few more miles, but Turkey run has a pool and trails and looks like more fun.

We love Turkey Run it's in our TOP 5....I can advise you on the sites if you like. The hiking there is phenomenal, as is the canoeing down Sugar Creek. The best fun time...Hey Sugar Creek would be PERFECT for Kayak races....

We drove thru Raccoon Lake on our visit last year, I liked some of it, other sites were packed in, no separation between the sites at all. I liked that it had a beach tho. The nicest loop at RL was the one with no electricity....and then there was a small loop with a dead end street that had huge sites, looked like the elec was a recent addition.

Gross tho, I got out to check out one of the new shower houses, wanted to look around (at the time we had a pup) So I go in the little girls room and someone had taken a DUMP in the farthest shower stall! Now explain this to me as they had to pass the toilet stalls to get to the shower....

Needless to say we were a tad turned off by this. Some women can just be pigs. It's not the first time I've seen something like this in the "ladies" room....EEEEWEWWWEEEE.....

I agree! Yes....I happened to check it the other day and there were about 4 or 5 sites in the loop we like available for that weekend. I was surprised since it's so late in the year, but I figure that's the weekend before everyone goes back to school so maybe folk are taking a break before Labor Day?

Hope the weather is good and the bugs are few....

DAVESWIFE,
Do you know about the go-cart track, across the creek? Our grandsons love that.

We've passed by it on our two stays there but never gave it a try, always something else to occupy it. But maybe we'll give it ago, our kids love go-karts. Thanks for the suggestion!
