I've read some good reviews on the Forum about the Mor Ryde System and would like to know if I could install it myself or would I have to have a shop do it. I looked on Camping World's website, but they don't appear to carry them. Also, I would like to know where you have purchased yours. Any advice and help is appreciated.

Thank you,

hi did mine my self I had a friend come over to help lift it . but you could use the back of a truck ,blocks and a floor jack. I just use 1/2 drive set and some big screwdrivers to line up the hole. the friend just cost me some cold beer. it took me about a hour or less.
best of all it sure made the trailer and truck tow better. no more hitch noise

Go to Mor-Ryde direct. You'll need the model or measurements off your current pin box to order correctly. Instructions come with the new pin box including a healthy warning to have plenty of help lifting if you do install it yourself, which is fairly simple.

Dick,
Yes, go with Tweety's - JR's recommendation. I was going directly to MorRyde and the sales person suggested that to go to Tweety's. Tweety's price is lower and you get free shipping to your door.

I'm very satified with mine. I picked up a 96 KIT Cordova 35CF, installed the pin box (used the back of the pickup - aligned it and lower the coach into it) and drove it back home - 1500 miles. Very smooth ride (I'm new to pulling a 5ver).

If you have a SuperGlide (which I have), Tweety's can order your pin box with a capture plate installed (additional cost).

Good luck, be safe and have fun.

Fairly easy install if you have a friend or two to help get it into position. Once in the back of the truck, and blocked up, you just need to bolt it in place and torque it down.

I did it myself in a little more than an hour. The only help I needed was lifting it onto the back of my truck. Backed the truck under the pin box mount and used the landing gear to meet the new pin box. I would recommend getting a good torque wrench though. As for the difference with the mor-ryde installed, it is night and day..

It is a do it yourself job but I would advise you to get some help. My son and I changed mine without problem but one little slip alone could cost you some real health problems.

I'm looking to add this system to my unit, where is the best place to order the pin box? I've seen pricing anywhere between $549 - $795. Who gave you the best deal, service. etc.
