Just came back from a 3000 mi trip. A low of 14.2 and high of 15.8 towing for 2400mi. Solo 21 to 23 highway 16 to 18 city. The new 5er weighs 4000 lb. more than my old one, but I get better mileage. I attribute this to the shape, I feel much less resistance to head winds in the new 5er.

Empty around 18mpg
Towing about 12mpg mostly in the mountains.

We will be running across Tx. and Ok. to Branson this month. Will keep track on flat ground and see how we do.
